There are many kinds of spray paint available ... we used the 14kt gold color to
match all the gold trimings in kit. I also used NYLON lace for the first
time as it held the superglue and spray. |

Draping Gown and Adding Gold Accents 1. Drape velvet as shown in draping tutorial, remember however that the velvet will have a heavier weight line, so pin folds accordingly. Spray with stiffen and allow to dry thoroughly. 2. Spray paint synthetic lace with gold spray paint. Allow to dry. Cut apart design and glue on dress as desired. I used this for the bodice decoration, earrings, crown, cuffs etc. 3. Glue another layer of lace around back to finish *faux* chemise. 4. When all set, you can use the designs in the lace for a beading guide. Even though the photo doesn't show it, the lace is FILLED with pearl beads. The nylon lace held the superglue better as well as the spray. |
